Problem with the reading of driver cards by the TachoReader Combo (TRC)

In case of problems with the reading of the data from the driver card:

  • Replace the full set of batteries or connect the device to the tachograph or computer.
  • Verify whether the card is inserted correctly. If the card being read is of a different type than the driver card, remove it and insert the correct one. Then repeat the reading of the driver card.
  • Do not withdraw the driver card until the download has finished. Repeat the reading of the driver card.
  • Perform a software update on the device (detailed update instructions are available here).
  • Ensure that the chip of the driver card is clean.
  • Ensure that the card connector is free of any dirt. You can blow out the card slot with compressed air.
  • Check and if necessary free up space on the device memory card by transferring previous readings to another medium (e.g. computer disk). Then repeat the reading.
