Note
Before connecting the database, install MS SQL Server Express 2017/2019. More information can be found here.
To connect the database in the TachoScan program:
- Start Database Manager.
- In the Login to SQL server window:
- enter or select the desired server from the list (if the server is invisible, click the icon Refesh the server list);
- enter the password for the data controller account (default password: admin).
3. In the server Manager and the TachoScan database window:
- from the Database menu, select Connect;
- or click on the Connect icon:
4. Indicate the location where the empty database is located: C:\Program Files (x86)\INELO\Utils\Database Manager\4TDBModel.
5. Click Next.
Note
If you do not select the above option, the program will connect the indicated database files to the server.
6. The program will start connecting the database according to the previously selected options.
7. Once the operation is completed, a summary window will be displayed.
Note
While performing the operation, the server generates messages that are visible on the screen and save to the ManagerDB_log.txt file in the directory from which the Database Manager is launched. The target file is named: manager_db.exe. If you are not sure that the operations have been performed correctly, send the ManagerDB_log.txt file to serwis@inelo.pl.
When you first start the program, it will create the following default folders:
- C:\Documents and Settings\User name\My documents\INELO\TachoScan”
- files from driver card and digital tachograph readings as well as tacho disc scans are stored in this folder;
- C:\Documents and Settings\User name\My documents \INELO\Documents”
- all kinds of documents are stored in this folder;
- C:\Documents and Settings\User name\My documents \INELO\Backup”
- a database backup is stored in this folder.
Important!
All users using the TachoScan program must have full access rights to the above folders (it does not apply to the backup folder).
The backup folder must be located on the same computer where the MSSQL server operates.
Database Manager program will only work properly on computers with MSSQL server installed.
The server and SQL agent services must be started to ensure the proper operation of the program.
