What are the minimum requirements of TachoScan Control?

TachoScan Control

The minimum requirements for proper operation of the TachoScan Control program:

  • operating system: Windows® 10, Windows® 11 + all available Windows Updates for each system;
  • Internet Explorer, version 8 or higher;
  • computer with a 1 GHz processor or faster;
  • 1 GB of available RAM;
  • USB socket;
  • screen resolution 1280 x 768;
  • scanner for scanning discs (recommended scanners: Canon LiDE 70, LiDE 100 or LiDE 200);
  • optional – for multiple scanning of discs and documents: Plustek SmartOffice ps283 scanner;
  • digital card reader and tachograph cable or one of the devices for reading data from cards and tachograph: TachoCard Reader, TachoReader Basic, TachoReader Combo Plus, DBOX, TachoDrive, Optac, DownloadKey.

For the LAN version of the program:

Limitations of SQL Server™ 2014 Express database: Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2014 Express for Windows Server® 2008 R1 and Windows Server® 2008 R2, Windows® 8.1, Windows® 10, Windows Server® 2012, Windows Server® 2012 R2;

SQL Server® 2014 express database limitations:

  • support for a single physical processor;
  • 1 GB of RAM;
  • the size of the database: 10 GB.

The program supports SQL version 2014 or newer.

If the maximum database size (10GB) is not sufficient, you need to purchase the latest commercial version of Microsoft® SQL Server®.

If the application is started on Windows® Server system, the local license key (TASP) is not supported.

When installation is finished you have to reboot your computer.
